Wild Origami

Wild Origami is a workshop that combines indigenous culture, art and environmental awareness. I’m a veterinarian, author and illustrator. In the workshop I introduce kids to native animals through a dreamtime story, then teach them how to make the animal using origami. While they’re working we learn about each specie’s unique habitat, the risks it faces and what we can do to help. The artworks are then combined in a native habitat art installation which takes form over the festival.
